Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are very thin, highly durable facings, which can be bonded to the front of your teeth to improve their color, size, and shape of the teeth. Veneers can also close gaps and straighten slightly crooked teeth. Porcelain veneers are a natural looking ay of transforming your smile in as less as two visits to our office.

Porcelain Veneers can fix the following dental conditions:

  • Cracked or chipped teeth
  • Stained, discolored or yellow teeth
  • Teeth that appear too small
  • Mildly crooked teeth
  • Short teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Teeth that have craters, bumps or fissures

The process of getting veneers begins with a thorough examination of your teeth. We will take several X-Rays and impressions which will be used to create your custom veneer. A shade that closely matches the natural color of your teeth will be chosen for your veneer. The teeth are prepared by shaving off a small portion of the enamel for the veneer to fit properly. The tooth surface is etched with an etching liquid to roughen the surface and allow the veneer to bond well. Once the tooth has been prepared, a temporary restoration is placed while the permanent one is being made in the lab. During your next visit, we get rid of the temporaries, and the permanent veneer is permanently cemented onto the tooth.
