Orthodontics (Braces)

At Denton Oak Dentistry, we understand that your smile is an essential part of who you are. We want you to have the best smile possible, and the confidence that radiates from it.

For any treatment to be successful, an accurate orthodontic diagnosis is essential. A comprehensive examination, followed by ‘orthodontic records’ is essential to enable the diagnosis of the orthodontic problems, and then for a treatment plan to be proposed. These records consist of digital photographs of the patient's face and teeth, digital x-rays of the teeth and jawbones and digital three-dimensional models of the teeth.

Treatment planning involves explaining the different treatment options available to you once a diagnosis has been made. Should several options be available, then the pros and cons of each will be explained. Once you are fully informed of your options, then you are in a position to select the option that best suits you.

Orthodontic retainers: they are custom-made devices, usually made of wires or clear plastic, that hold teeth in position after surgery or any method of realigning teeth

Invisalign&ClearCorrect: Invisalign is nearly as popular as the word braces these days. Invisalign and ClearCorrect use removable clear aligners to straighten patients’ teeth a little bit at a time. Both products are virtually invisible, so no one will notice that you’re wearing braces. Both products can easily be removed and cleaned. Both products are custom fit to a patient’s teeth. They’re also non-invasive.Both products must be worn nearly all day (they are removed while eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing). For both products, the length of treatment will depend on the current position of your teeth and how far you hope to move them. Your dentist at Denton Oak Dentistrywill determine the length of treatment.

Invisalign and ClearCorrect are both fantastic options for people who wish to straighten their teeth without conspicuous train tracks. They’re unobtrusive, discreet, nearly invisible, and can help you achieve the smile you’ve always dreamed about.
