Dental Implants

Missing teeth and looking for an alternative to dentures or bridges? Dental implants could be the solution for you. They function most similarly to natural teeth compared to other tooth replacement options. At Denton Oak Dentistry, we’d love to help you get back to a great smile with dental implants!

Benefits of Implant Dentistry

From tooth decay to mouth trauma to general wear and tear, there are many different conditions that could lead to tooth loss. If you’re currently dealing with a gap in your smile, implant dentistry can help your appearance as well as your health.

Doctors recommend dental implants and patients prefer them for a number of reasons. Here are just some of the main benefits to replacing missing teeth with tooth implants:

  • They are permanently placed. You don’t need to bother with taking them in and out, and you don’t have to worry about them slipping or falling out.
  • They are designed to be a long-term solution. Dental implants can last many years with the right at-home care!
  • They make daily activities feel normal again. Enjoy your favorite foods with ease, speak clearly, and brush and floss just like you do with your other teeth.
  • They prevent your face from looking aged and sunken. Dental implants help make sure you keep your face doesn’t sag due to missing teeth, keeping you looking more youthful.

About Dental Implant Surgery

Dental implant surgery can be broken up into two stages. In the first stage, we’ll place a small, biocompatible post in your jawbone where the missing tooth was. This is what will act as the artificial tooth root. We let that area heal so it forms a strong, healthy foundation. In the second stage, we’ll place the restoration on top, which is what resembles the appearance of a real tooth.

We understand the word “surgery” can make the dental implant procedure seem a little intimidating. Our team is here to guide you through the whole process and address any concerns you might have. We also provide sedation dentistry at our office to help you relax throughout your treatment.

Cost of Dental Implants

It’s hard to pin down a specific cost for dental implants before we take a look at the situation in person. In order to come up with a cost estimate, we have to factor in which, and how many, teeth are being replaced as well as your overall oral health. If you’re considering dental implants, we’d love to bring you in for a dental implant consultation so we can go over the details further!
