Cosmetic Dentistry Options That Won’t Break the Bank

Everyone wants to dazzle when they flash their pearly whites. A sparkling smile helps with confidence and makes an impression in both personal and professional situations. Achieving a smile you feel proud of is a matter of good dental hygiene, but just because you may have made mistakes in the past, doesn’t mean you have to settle for a smile you don’t love.

Maybe you are embarrassed or scared of sticker shock, but know that Denton Oak Dentistry is proud to offer a number of different cosmetic dentistry options and best of all, these options won’t break the bank.

Teeth Whitening

Tea, coffee, red wine, and chocolate… oh my! I could go on! Although this may be a list of favorite things, it’s also a list of the most common culprits in teeth staining unfortunately. Teeth whitening is a simple option to help restore your smile to brilliance.

Teeth whitening is a quick and easy way to enhance your appearance. In as little as an hour, the dental experts at Denton Oak Dentistry can whiten your teeth by several shades. Although over-the-counter at-home teeth whitening options abound, getting your teeth whitened by a dental professional or with a take-home professional teeth whitening kit is much more effective, and safer too!

Although teeth whitening treatments are oftentimes not covered by insurance, they are one of the most affordable cosmetic options if you are generally unhappy with the look of your teeth or if you need whitening fast for an upcoming event.

Dental Bonding

In cases where teeth are chipped, cracked, or permanently discolored, Dental Oaks Dentistry also offers dental bonding. In dental bonding a tooth-colored resin is applied to the affected tooth or teeth and polished to match the appearance of the surrounding teeth.

Dental bonding may be used to change the color or shape of teeth, as well as to close the spaces between teeth, and also to make teeth appear longer. Dental bonding is very common and often can be completed in one dental visit.

Dental bonding is a more economical option then porcelain veneers. It is most appropriate for small cosmetic changes and you will need to discuss with Dr. Phee to determine the best cosmetic solution to your particular problem.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are similar to dental bonding and can solve many of the same problems, but porcelain veneers are longer lasting and also a little bit more expensive. Porcelain veneers are more resistant to staining than dental bonding and even more than your natural teeth!

The porcelain veneer procedure may take two visits to the Dental Oak Dentistry office, as the first appointment in concerned with preparation and the second visit involved the application. Although porcelain veneers are the most expensive option on this list, they still don’t have to break the bank. Click here to learn more about financing options available at Dental Oak Dentistry!
